The official Unstable SMP server address

The official Unstable SMP server IP is unstable-events.net. Save this exact hostname in Minecraft, including the hyphen between unstable and events. Java and Bedrock are supported, with all versions in the published range 26.3–1.21.11.

unstable-events.net

If you already have Unstable SMP in your server list, edit that saved entry before your next session. Copying the current address is easier than correcting it from memory. The website remains unstablesmp.gg; the game address belongs in Minecraft, not in your browser's address bar.

Update your saved Java server

  1. Launch a supported Minecraft Java release and open Multiplayer.
  2. Select your saved Unstable SMP entry and choose Edit. For a new entry, choose Add Server.
  3. Set Server Address to unstable-events.net. Leave out https://, page paths, spaces, and an appended port. The server name is only your label for the entry.
  4. Save the entry, select it, and choose Join Server.

Update your Bedrock server

On a Bedrock device that supports adding custom servers, open Play → Servers. Edit your saved entry, or choose Add Server. Enter unstable-events.net in the address field and 19132 in the separate port field. Save the entry and connect.

Keep the port out of Bedrock's address field: the address and port have their own inputs. Some console editions do not provide a custom-server entry screen. The Bedrock joining instructions explain the published connection details without requiring an unfamiliar launcher or account-verification tool.

If the updated entry does not connect

First check the spelling and hyphen, then confirm the edition and game version. On Java, use the hostname alone; on Bedrock, check port 19132. Close the connection screen and try the saved entry again after correcting it. A saved server label can look right even when its address is outdated.

Read the exact error before changing anything else. An unknown-host message calls for an address or DNS check; an outdated-client message calls for a version check; a timeout can involve your connection or the server. Use the connection troubleshooting guide for the matching next step. The status page checks the Java endpoint and does not independently confirm Bedrock availability.

Keep the current connection details handy

Bookmark the official server IP page for the current address, editions, version range, and Bedrock port. Check the official Discord for announcements or support. Include your edition, version, and exact error when asking for help; never include passwords, sign-in codes, or account tokens.
